Union cabinet took many important decisions, approval for PLI scheme for textile industry

Union Minister Anurag Thakur said that an important decision has been taken regarding the Ministry of Textiles in the cabinet meeting chaired by the Prime Minister. Incentives worth Rs 10,683 crore will be provided over 5 years.

The meeting of the Union Cabinet was held under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Union Ministers Piyush Goyal and Anurag Thakur informed about the decisions taken in the cabinet meeting in the press conference. Union Minister Anurag Thakur said that an important decision has been taken regarding the Ministry of Textiles in the cabinet meeting chaired by the Prime Minister. Incentives worth Rs 10,683 crore will be provided over 5 years. Directly employment opportunities will be created for more than 7.5 lakh people.

Union Textiles Minister Piyush Goyal said that by taking advantage of these schemes, India will now be able to show its supremacy in the international market. By doing FTAs ​​with developed countries also, we are trying to cover our disability in the textile trade in front of the rest of the countries. According to Union Minister Piyush Goyal, the scheme will mainly benefit states like Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Odisha. He said that states like Bihar can also take advantage of this scheme.
