Kuwait starts commercial flight with India, passengers will have to fulfill these conditions

Kuwait suspended all direct international flights with India on 24 April until further notice. During this, there was a second wave of corona in India and in view of which Kuwait took this decision.

Kuwait has started direct commercial flights with India from Tuesday. The Civil Aviation Authority of the country gave this information on Monday. The resumption of flights was first announced last month. But the deadline for its implementation was not given. Kuwait suspended all direct international flights with India on 24 April until further notice. During this, there was a second wave of corona in India and in view of which Kuwait took this decision.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) last month eased travel restrictions for transit passengers and announced that it would resume commercial international flights to India as well as other countries in Southeast Asia and Egypt. Apart from India, other countries from where international flights will start include Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Nepal. According to the notification of the Ministry of Civil Aviation, India started flights between 49 cities with 18 countries under the air bubble arrangement in September. Under an air bubble pact, a country’s airlines can operate special international flights between their regions.

Passengers will have to accept these conditions –

  • Passengers traveling to Kuwait will have to be fully vaccinated. They will have to get one of the vaccines approved by the World Health Organization (WHO).
    Citizens of Kuwait, their relatives and domestic workers will be given entry into the country
  • All passengers will have to show a negative PCR test report of the corona test done within 48 hours of the journey
  • It is mandatory for passengers to download and register on Alhosan App using UID and phone number

While there is no need to show the vaccination certificate when visiting the UAE, residents of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) coming from India and five other countries will no longer need to show the Covid-19 vaccination certificate to enter the country. According to the news of Gulf News, all travelers with valid UAE residence visa will be allowed to travel to Dubai from India, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Uganda.

According to the news, passengers should have a valid Covid-19 test certificate, which should be within 48 hours from the collection of samples and departure of the flight.
