Panjshir lost contact with Tajikistan, know why Taliban is overwhelming

The Taliban government has been formed in Afghanistan. The battle of the National Resistance Front (NRF) i.e. Northern Alliance in Panjshir, the only province considered invincible in the country so far, also seems to be weakening. Because, for the first time in history, the Northern Alliance has been cut off from Tajikistan in its north. Taliban fighters entered the valley and claimed occupation. However, the National Resistance Front (NRF) says that the war is still on.

NRF leader Ahmed Masood proposed peace to the Taliban in one of his Facebook posts and the Taliban rejected it. There are also reports that Amrullah Saleh and Ahmed Masood have gone to Tajikistan. The situation of NRF in Panjshir is no longer the same.

According to the news of the Indian Express, this time the Taliban has closed the supply line of Tajikistan. When the Taliban took control of large parts of Afghanistan in 1990, the supply line from Tajikistan to the Panjshir Valley was kept running. But this time it was not done. As a result of this, the National Resistance Front (NRF) in the Valley is not getting the supply of arms and ammunition, apart from food and fuel.

Along with this, the Taliban have also blocked the main road coming from Kabul. Due to this also there was a severe shortage of essential goods in the valley. Amrullah Saleh has raised this issue many times. He also wrote a letter to the United Nations in this matter. There is also a shortage of medical supplies in the valley.

Old friends have also left Panjshir alone. Ahmed Masood has admitted in a message that he had demanded arms and other supplies from some countries including America, but they were refused to fulfill them. In fact, before Ahmed Masood, the leader of the National Resistance Front (NRF), his father Ahmed Shah Masood was helped by many countries from Iran to America. These included weapons and military equipment as well as other essential supplies. But this did not happen with son Ahmed Masood.

Since the roads connecting Panjshir have been closed. In such a situation, if one wants to go to Panjshir, then he will have to travel a long way through the mountains of neighboring Kapila province. This route is not such that any kind of military help can be extended to the Panjshir Valley. Maybe that’s why other countries have refused help.

Apart from this, the Taliban have cut internet and telephone lines in Panjshir. In such a situation, correct information is not coming out. The National Resistance Front (NRF) is not able to send any information from outside the valley. The information coming out about the ongoing war with the Taliban due to the media blackout is one-sided.

At the same time, experts say that Ahmed Masood, the current leader of the National Resistance Front (NRF), is not an expert in guerrilla warfare like his father Ahmed Shah Masood, despite studying from King’s College in London and the Royal Military College in Sandhurst, Britain. The Red Army of the Soviet Union at the time of Ahmed Shah Masood and later the Taliban could never capture Panjshir. This time the Taliban is taking a heavy toll on Panjshir.

Apart from this, Pakistani help has also proved to be a game changer in favor of Taliban. Recently, the Pakistani army carried out drone attacks in Panjshir. The NRF had also confirmed this.
